How To Customize Your Wedding Gown

How To Customize Your Wedding Gown

Your big day has arrived at last, and it’s time to choose a wedding gown! But finding your dream dress might not be as simple as you think.

While determining the right silhouette is essential, the small touches in a gown make it yours, not the overall design.

Here are a few methods to customize any wedding dress without compromising the original style. You’re the bride, and everyone will be looking at you, so you have to give them something to marvel at!

Customizing the decolletage can be pretty simple, depending on the gown’s design. Changing it from a straight neckline to a sweetheart neckline, for example, might be all you need to change the look of the dress or gown.

When it comes to wedding dresses, we all have a vision in our mind, but it’s the small details, such as beading, that bring these visions to life.

When it comes to beading, you either believe that “more is more” or “less is more.” The option you go for is entirely dependent on your preferences.

More often than not, brides are immediately taken with a different design from what they had in mind when they enter a shop. We wager that you’ll do the same if you step into our boutique! If you initially wanted to get a dress with sleeves, you’ll probably get a strapless one instead!

But one of the best features of a strapless dress is that there are many different styles to select from, and it allows you to tweak a wedding dress in several ways. For example, add a long or three-quarter sleeve to your gown for a fall or winter wedding.

For minimal coverage, go for lace;  thicker satin with shoulder pads are best for more coverage. If you intend to have a summer wedding, consider the following:

Halters are ideal for highlighting shoulders and accommodating a small or fuller bust. In contrast, strapless gowns are suitable for ladies with hourglass figures.

Spaghetti straps are ideal for replacing imitation straps. They provide minimal coverage while still providing support, preventing your dress from pulling up.

A cap sleeve looks great on any body type. It provides just enough underarm coverage to keep you comfortable on your wedding day.

Off-the-shoulder looks good on everyone and any body type. The sleeve can be very subtle, adding an elegant and feminine touch depending on how it falls.

You can get your wedding gown customized to suit you, your preferences, and your figure as long as you have the right professionals working with you. But more important than that is the gown itself. No amount of customization can make it look good if it isn’t lovely in the first place, and that’s where we come in!
